I was born on August 4th in Fresno, California. From the ages of nine to eighteen I was a gymnast. During the last three years of my gymnastics career I began coaching.  After graduating from Clovis West high school, I  moved to Los Angeles.

I continued to coach gymnastics while going to college. I coached kids two and above, even adults. While working at Malibu Gymnastics I created art and music programs to compliment the gymnastics for kids ages 2 - 5. I attended college at California State University Northridge where I earned my BA and teaching credentials.

Immediately after graduating I got a job at Sunny Brae Elementary School teaching 5th grade. After completing my first year of teaching I applied for and was hired at Richmond Street as a 4th grade teacher. This will be my 4th year at Richmond. Yeah! I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree.

After school I like to swim, mountain bike, rock climb, run, surf, do Krav Maga, and take aerial fabric classes. When I am not playing, I teach adult fitness classes at Krav Maga twice a week.

My family is very important to me. Both my parents were school teachers and are now retired. Since I was in the 4th grade, I've always wanted to be a teacher like my parents. My sister lives with me in our new townhouse that we purchased and remodeled last year. She is my best friend and we love to do things together. You will probably meet her.

Volkslauf, "the peoples race," was held on Saturday, October 13th in Bakersfield. The race was a 10k with over 75 obstacles and 6 mudpits. Excited and exhausted, I was the first woman to cross the finish line, and the 48th finisher overall.
